My suggestion on the workaround specifically mentions it's better if you have the black loading screen as it gives you more time to do it.

I also had the error at one point.

There is no solution at all, only workarounds to get people actually playing.

There have been several posts here, on discord and youtube about the issue. Zeels combined info from (so far) the best working ones. By gathering the info into 1 post, we hope that more people see it and can actually play.

We are still waiting on a proper fix from Respawn. The issue has been added to their dev trello.

Seems like this is only working for PlayStation people. I’m on Xbox trying for hours and it won’t work. I have not seen a Xbox person saying that it worked for them either 

These fixes doesn’t make any sense to me, I got this problem 1week before s8, there was no season rewards to collect at this moment! Also, check the picture of a guy that has been dealing with this issue for 6 MONTHS! This isn’t looking bright..

I did exactly the same thing except mine was black when I hit continue, I just persevered...as soon as the screen goes black ( with the apex logo in the bottom right) after hitting continue, unplugged or disconnect your network and replug it,  while hitting esc or whatever "ok" is for the news/rewards popups.

I am pretty sure this is down to the rewards and news pop up at the start of the lobby entry causing the issue.

I had to do it 3 times even once I was able to get the reward/news pop ups and hit esc.

But a key thing is to just keep trying and pull the plug or disconnect and reconnect just as the screen goes black when you hit continue. You will get there. Reconnecting straight after disconnect is important.

I think you could probably do this on console if your using a network cable, you might have no chance on wifi on console though, but I have no clue what consoles look like interface wise. Only know PC.

i finally did it the need to physically turn off the network for a second, during boot, then continue. After an hour of trying, I managed to pick up the awards and not lose the connection.

I try with unplug ethernet cable but it's so hard. You need ANY app who can block internet traffic for any running app on PC! I'm use Netlimiter . Install it and run.

Start Apex in windowed mode ( mode can be changed in a video settings file c:\users\%username%\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local - Fullscreen change to 0)

When you press Continue switch to app(netlimiter or similar) and when first of 3 part of logo goes down on loading screen - BLOCK UPLOAD TRAFFIC (only upload for apex. download traffic we're still need) for r5apex.exe and when lobby be on your screen UNBLOCK traffic and fast spam ESC button.

This works from a first time for me

This solution worked for me.  I spent 2 hours with EA Chat last night, their solution was to "wait" until they patched the issue, but wouldn't even confirm that they were aware of the issue.

I was able to reproduce this but instead of unplugging my network cable, I disabled the network adapter in "network connections" under control panel.  It was easier for timing and had the same results.  Took about 5-10 mins of tries before I got it to work.

Tips:
 - Disable adapter when the first red bar of the loading icon starts to go away.  As soon as you get to the lobby and see your character, enable the network then SPAM escape.
 - If you don't enable the network connection very quickly once you see your character it will not register that you closed all the pop-ups and you'll have to try again. Enable the adapter (or plug in) as soon as you hit that lobby, and spam escape fast AF

I tried everything from reformatting my PC, to testing a new account (that worked).  Tried on Steam and Origin.  This is the only solution that worked.

@thapchild does this work if you get code: net after attempting to load in?

THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION!

THIS SHOULD NOT BE ADVISED TO ANYONE! 

1) it doesn’t work. This is clearly PC and this doesn’t work for console.

2) this is for the infinite continue loop, NOT THE CODE NET ERROR! Code net errors are not working even with this.

3) I cannot believe that a support team would actually suggest this work around. It’s actually mind boggling. FIX YOUR GAME RESPAWN! 

Okay, THIS kinda works for console (PS4) too. Someone still has to give it a try for XB since i'm not sure it will work there as well.

And also i suggest XB users to give it a try as well.

I'll lay out the steps here as well, but i recommend checking the tweet out as it has video evidence that might help you out.

1. The timing for this to be fixed is CRUCIAL. It's okay, it took me about 15-20 minutes to get it right but it works. Don't give up. You have to make sure to have a rapid access to an option that allows you to disconnect and reconnect the internet. For PS4 i suggest you to go to Settings > Network > Connect to Internet. BUT don't disconnect yet. Just leave the option selected as this will create a shortcut for you to have a quick access to it. Then go back to the Apex Legends app.
2. Click "x" to continue into the game. Now, this is where you have to time things right. When the screen goes black and you have the Apex logo on the inferior right corner of your screen, just as the third red bar of the loading logo is about to go down, double click your PS button on your controller to access the Connect to Internet shortcut we made on step 1. DISCONNECT and CONNECT your internet. Don't disconnect and leave it waiting. CONNECT immediately. Then go back to apex.
3. If you timed it right, you will get into the lobby for just a bit longer. Here is where you have to expect ALL your rewards to drop spam "x" to collect as many rewards as you can.
4. Now, it will most likely kick you out again. Don't worry. This means you still have more rewards to collect. So, go back to step 2 and repeat everything. Go back into the lobby and spam x as much as you can to collect everything. You may have to repeat this process 2-3 times. Don't worry.
5. Once you've collected ALL rewards, you're good to go! You'll most likely be able to stay ingame, and you'll be able to play with no problems.

This worked for me, and i hope it works for other people as well.
