Reapplying for cross save

Hey, I came back to Apex last week when this cross save popup appeared. As I didn't know this was a thing i didn't have my psn account linked to my ea account in which I'm playing rn, so i did it. How can i reapply for a cross save option now that my psn account is linked? is it automatic? ty!

  • Hey @Eisiier,

The bolded portion is where the problem lies. These were not connected to the same account, so linking them afterwards would not transfer that progress.

The popup is not intended to reappear as the EA account has already gone through the process. Even if it did however, reappearing would not transfer this either as progress would be stored on the EA accounts and not your PSN or Steam accounts. There will be no way to get this content on the same account if it started on two separate EA accounts, unfortunately.

As far as getting in touch with support to try getting these re-linked to the original accounts, if you create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information, you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can assist further.

Also i'd like to share my cross save experience

    1. I logged in into steam acc in pc and did the cross save popup and so

    2. I realise i didnt have my psn acc connected with the steam acc

    3. i linked them

    4. the popup doesn't reappear and the cross save with my psn acc is incomplete, idk if my psn acc was the same as my steam acc it will do it automatically or the popup would reappear but here i am

ty for your patience again Mako

    Hey @Eisiier,

Cross Progression is already active on all EA accounts at this point. There is not a way or need to reapply for it.

Keep in mind that progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress. If you've linked your PSN and are no longer seeing that progress, you would need to re-link it to its prior EA account to try recovering the progress.

I'm afraid there is not a way to transfer progress from one EA account to another.

We have some additional information about this particular situation in our blog and guides below, but if you have any issues re-linking your accounts please reach out to support so they can help get your platform account back to its original EA account.

  • Okey I get it. But how do i know which EA account was my psn account linked to? I just know my psn mail adress which is the same as my ea account but it wasnt linked so i suppose it was a different one, can you give me a hand on this? ty for your answer tho

    @Eisiier

You can visit your EA account connections page to see which platforms are connected.

If you know your PSN login but don't recall which EA account that was linked to, you can log out of the website and then try the steps below:

    1. Go to the EA Account sign-in page.
    2. Choose the option to sign in using your platform credentials.
    3. Sign in with your PSN credentials instead of the EA account information.

From that point you can check your EA account page here to view or update the email, though it will only display a partial email address. If it's not an email you have access to anymore or you're still unsure which email that would be, you'll want to contact support directly so they can verify some other information and try to help update the login details.

  • i unlinked my psn account from this ea account and tried as you said to log in with psn credentials but it appears this msg

    "An account already exists

It looks like there's already an account for this email. Just to make sure everything's as it should be, we'll send you a verification code."

As my email from this ea acc and my psn acc are the same or idk why it logs me in with the same ea acc but idk why the cross save when i tried to do it on steam on this ea acc it didnt show my psn acc

i'll love to clarify this, im desperate tysm for your patience

    Hi @Eisiier,

It sounds like you had progress on two separate EA accounts, with your Steam originally on one and your PS4 on the other. There is no way to transfer or combine progress across separate EA accounts unfortunately.

When you logged into this EA account on Steam, it wouldn't have merged any progress from your PSN if that PSN progress was originally made on a different EA account.

I really couldn't say what it's trying to sign you in with based on what you've mentioned here, without just looking at the account details. However, we cannot discuss your account details here on the forums of course, as these are public boards.

It may be best to get in touch with the support team so they can actually look at the account details and help get the PSN re-linked to its original EA account at this point.
