Season 13 patching issues info gathering thread

My name is Manuel and I work for NVIDIA.  Can you give the GeForce hotfix display driver v516.79 we released last week a try?  It includes changes to address the Apex Legends crashing issues reported by some users after the start of Season 13:

I did the same thing as you and my game crashes every time the Welcome to Gaiden pop up message pops up. I managed to squeeze one game in but then froze after that.

I have a problem with my party that is consistent almost throughout the season, it mightn not have occured at the start but I'm not 100% certain.

When I leave a game the party I am in seems kind of frozen. My game seems to think we are all still in a game, my mates are still "playing". When we try to load into a new round I get the message "party not ready". My friends are then loaded into the game without me. If a player changes his skin or character nothing changes for me in the lobby.

I always have to leave the party and either accept an invitation or start a new party myself in order to be able to play with my friends again.

This is consistent for Crossplay (1 PC, 2 PS4) as well as PS4 only duos.

I play on a PS4 pro with an eithernet connection. Reinstalling did not help at all.

Xbox Series S:

Since the update, the game does not load the first try, it kicks me out, and on the second try it works, only to get a EA server issue message.

When im finally in and playing, the UCMD delay warning sign appears and the game is unplayable, lagging non-stop.

Plz sort this out, only 9 days left for this season and I'm behind on my battle pass rewards, but can't get through one game. 

Since launch, game one, till today, finally done with Apex...can't play one game without technical issues, geeez..extremely sad. U guys r u own worse enemy.. 

Hi I tried your fix and the issue is still happening.  I am crashing to desktop without an error. Atleast once per game (up to 7 times a game). I tried everything possible.  I am playing via Steam on Win11. My GPU is a RTX 3080 with an i7 12700k. Its literally the only game that crashes. Even tried studio drivers. What is the ETA for the next driver update? Can u give some insights? its reallllly annoying ☹️  (also the same behaviour is happening on linux)

Game crashes to desktop without error: July 27-2022 patch

Platform PC - Steam

Hi all, After a small patch of 400+ MB today via steam, Apex is crashing after 1 minute after launch. It doesn’t matter if I’m in the menu, firing range or in a game, it crashes to desktop regardless. No errors just a 1-2 seconds freeze and it’s gone, same thing as Alt F4 and it’s happening consistently after 1 minute prior to launch feels like a timebomb. I was playing yesterday without any issues and have never gotten these type of crashes. Nothing has been done to my OS nor the hardware since yesterday.

Specs:

Intel Core i7 8700K

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 TI

64 Gb DDR4 2800 mhz

OS version: WIN 10 21H1 build 19043, 1826.

Steps done:

Followed all steps in this guide

Running all video settings on low.

Verified game files via steam.

Reinstalled the game.

Caped my FPS via launch options in steam.

Removed my user folder located in users/respawn/apex in case of corrupted files.

Followed Easy Anti-Cheat troubleshooting steps 

Performed clean install of my GPU drivers using DDU.

Uninstalled MSI Afterburner, no overclocking is active.

Used system file checker tool in windows just in case via command, sfc /scannow (No issues found)

Uninstalled all Visual C++ Redistributable Packages, didn't solve the issue, reinstalled latest versions. 

Unfortunately no files are present for crash report in %userprofile%\documents

Issue is still present and no other games on my PC misbehaves.

Any suggestions why this is happening and solve it? Not sure if this issue is related to my system or just the patch which caused this.
