Account progress got reset

I've been playing since 2019. Then after some technical issues in 2021 i've lost access to my account and back then support could not help me.

Yesterday after trying to contact EA now and then i finally got access to my account and was I surprised when i saw level 1 account and welcome tutorials? As if I just started playing, no progress, no coins I purchased back in the days, no legends unlocked.

I went to double check if the account is right and it is! I talked to support and tried following things they recommended me:

  • Logged into Apex Legends on Steam
  • Logged into Apex Legends via the EA App
  • Downloaded and launched the game via Origin
  • Reinstalled / re-downloaded the game
  • Confirmed the issue occurs on all PC launchers
  • Confirmed PC-only usage (no Xbox, no PlayStation ever linked)
  • Confirmed no other EA accounts exist
  • Verified account ownership multiple times via email codes
  • Completed EA account password reset
  • Re-logged into EA account after security changes
  • Cleared Steam download cache
  • Restarted the PC
  • Restarted the router/modem
  • Ran general antivirus/security checks
  • Waited over 24 hours for possible progress resynchronization

But it is the right account, I can see all of the achievements from 2019-2021 in the profile both on steam and Origin. 

What are my next steps? Do I just give up?

  • Also. When i logged in with Origin yesterday it asked me if I want to use cloud data from 2021 or local data from 2026, i chose 2021 but it still loaded the empty one 

  • After reading the forums I want to add what i never messed with account linking/unlinking, so it's not it

  • And I got locked out of the support for some reason now. Chat widget just disapeared and is grayed out now.

    Hey memesodel​,

    Unfortunately, if you've spoken with support and they were not able to assist with this, there aren't any other steps we could suggest. If this was lost so long ago that no progress has shown back up, I'm afraid there's nothing we'd be able to manually review or grant at this point, sorry to say.

  • It kind of was offered though btw. When i first logged in with Origin it asked if i wanted to use "Local save from 2026" or "Remote save from 2021". I picked latter but something must've bugged out. Maybe there's still some hope? 

    PS: I tried reinstalling the game afterwards on both Steam and Origin but that didn't ever trigger another sync suggestion sadly ):
