Re: Apex Legends Integrity Error 0x80000001 After Recent Patch

Update (Possible Fix / Workaround):

I tried a different approach and wanted to share an update.

First, I used the AMD Cleanup Utility to completely remove the AMD software. After that, I launched the game again, but it still crashed.

Then I went back into the AMD software settings and performed a shader reset.

After doing this, I launched the game again and now it has been running fine for the past 30 minutes.

Storm Point is still active in the lobby, and so far the game has not crashed.

Not 100% sure yet if this is a permanent fix, but it seems more stable than before.

Will update again if the issue comes back.

People have reported this solution working for about an hour. I did shader cache reset multiple times and it did not work for me. Seems to only be happening on AMD systems. Have you tried to force Steam or Origin to run the game in DX11 instead? I dont think DX9 or DX12 work for storm point, i have yet to try 11 though

Have you tried playing ranked matches?

I tried to queue for ranked matches, but the error occurred again very quickly.

I completely uninstalled the AMD software and removed all drivers using the AMD Cleanup Utility, which is designed to remove all previously installed AMD drivers and prepare the system for a fresh installation.

After that, I performed a fresh installation of the drivers and launched the game, allowing the shaders to compile. Then, I went back into the AMD software, reset the shader cache, and launched the game again.

This time, the game worked properly.

So basically, what worked for me was resetting the shader cache twice:

    • First after installing the drivers
    • Second after resetting the shader cache again through AMD software
