Stuck at 60 Hz instead of 240 Hz like monitor is set at.

I have been playing Apex for a while with no problems on the same PC with same monitors. I took at break then started trying to play again and noticed that the game looked like it was running at a lower refresh rate than normal. I check through not only display settings by Nvidia control panel settings as well and all of the above showed that the monitor is running 240 Hz. I also double checked with my other steam games and they all run at 240 Hz just fine, it's only Apex. At this point I can't find anything else to try. Also my frame counter shows above 240 fps as well. Thank you for any help I can get!
