Back in the day I played a fair bit of apex on nintento switch, with my ea account (account 1). More recently, but still a while ago, I was playing star wars battlefront 2 with account 2, which is currently linked to my ps4. Is there any way I can keep my progress in both, since I want my old apex account on my ps4 but I don’t want to have to get rid of my bf2 progress?

Flumpkin66 Your game progress and data is stored on the connected EA Account, (so in your case Apex would be stored on Account 1, while Battlefield 2 would be stored on Account 2).
Furthermore, your game progress and data also cannot be transferred, (or merge), to another EA Account, so I would recommend that you keep both accounts as they are and to just switch between which one is logged into when switching between games.
Note: If you unlink a platform account from either EA Account to then link it to the other EA Account, that also won't transfer, (or merge), your game progress and data since its tied to the EA Account the platform account was unlinked from, (and by unlinking your platform account(s), you are risking a loss of some, (or all), your game progress and data, (so again I would recommend keeping both accounts separated)).
