Have you tried connecting to a different datacenter to see if that makes any difference? Are you still seeing ping spikes no matter which datacenter you're connected to?

Same here. I have never had problems like this before.. Now, in S9 and S10, the game will freeze for like 0.5 second and during these brief freezes, two other things happen: 1) my ping jumps from the usual 30-40 ms to 100-200 and 2) the CPU load drops from the usual 80-90% down to approx. 30%. I think that these signs point to the conclussion that my client totally drops the connection to the server during these brief freezes or something.
Some games, I just get 1-2 of these freezes over the entire match but some games, seemingly when playing ranked, I can get 4-5 of these in rapid succession, sometimes during crucial moments like in a fight (which ofc results in death)....Based on threads on reddit etc and just the sheer number of gaming friends that also experience it, this is not something on our end, but obviously bad servers or netcode optimization etc. I just wish Respawn/EA would man up and take responsibility for their product and not keep quiet and pretend the problems doesnt exist.
And with all due respect; @EA_Kent and other forum moderators canned answers just makes me slightly more irritated. I know you mean well but it feels a bit patronizing to get tips like "have you tried restarting your router and update your drivers?"
