'The client failed an anti-cheat backend check'

I haven't played Apex in a few months but I came back over the weekend to introduce my girlfriend to Apex on Steam (while I played on my PS4 with her, with another account). After her first successful game, every game I play with her, the PC Apex quits mid-game citing 'The client failed an anti-cheat backend check'. There's no information I can act on. So, is there a diagnostic tool or logs that tell me what it detected that can tell me how the client failed this check? I've opened a terminal and executed the Easy Anti Cheat EOS file in the game's directory, but i'm not really sure how to use it. Just tried install and repair commands, but they don't show any signs of having done anything. Any thoughts/advice? Please and thank you. Will be back to report whether or not that resolves the issue.

  • At about 03:40, I played a knockout game to complete my pass task. The same situation occurred after I used 30-30 and a longbow precision rifle to kill many players who upgraded their level through script hanging up. How can I solve this problem?

  • @dotzeno  I'm not sure what's up with the anti-cheat, but the errors I get are:

    - The anti-cheat is "not running"

    - The anti-cheat's "heartbeat" is not being "received", (or is "too frequent")

    - The anti-cheat had "failed runtime integrity check"

You can try repairing the game's files as that should also repair the EAC.

  • A friend of mine is affected by the issue since a month right now, we've tried EVERYTHING on his machine (windows integrity checks, game checks, installed software check and sometimes uninstall, firewall and antivirus whitelisting checks, EasyAnticheat_EOS services install/repair, running as admin, NOTHING worked.
