Unable to connect to EA servers

Hey,

I have not been able to play Apex Legends for about a year. Whenever I open Apex Legends it just says "unable to connect to EA servers". I've tried port forwarding, changing dns and flushdns. The only thing that seems to be able to get me into the game is using a VPN. But this of course gives me 300 ping. How can I access the game again without using a VPN?

Thanks

  • Please let me know the following;

    What ISP do you use?

    What internet speed?

Have you verified that all your drivers are up-to-date?

But what i can read is that you have a ISP issue.

Have you called them and told them about the issue?

Because this seems to be related with them and not Apex.

I would recommend you to call your ISP, If they wont help then look for a new ISP.

  • Yeah, I thought it had to have something to do with the ISP. I'll try calling them tomorrow and see what they can do. Tbh, I should have changed ISP a long time ago, because they are kinda *, but you know how it is.

@Magun-fkin-Z Yea, i'm about to move, and then i change my ISP, the once i have now have issues so i can't use Discord unless i
    1: Use public DNS
    2: Use VPN
And they just blame it on Discord, even thou 80% of the once using this ISP is affected with the issue lol.

Anyhow, let me know how it goes!
  • Doubt it's your ISP.  I'm getting Code 100s and "Unable to connect to PlayStation Network".  Something's wrong on EA's end and a patch is needed.  Good grief.

  • @EzyHawk Hey, thanks for the suggestion to contact the ISP. I called them up yesterday and explained the issue. Turns out others have called about the exact same issue. It had something to do with the DNS. So all they told me to do was change the DNS. I had already tried this, but it was another number, which was specific to them and nowhere to be found in the solutions online.
Issue was solved immediately and I can now play just as I used to. I guess their customer service isn't that bad :P

@Buck_Eastwood Hey, I agree that EA has got some work to do. There are still other issues from time to time than the one I had, but my game works now, because it was the ISP :P. But idk I think there are some code 100 fixes on the internet, but maybe you have tried them all. 🙂

You are right. I popped off half-cocked. My fix (at least for now) for the Code 100 was to “clear the PS4 cache”, in other words, unplug it for 30 seconds.  =P
