Unable to play Apex in Fullscreen. Keeps exiting to windowed mode.

I have a 4k monitor laptop with an i7 processor, 16 GB RAM and Nvidia GTX 1050 2GB graphics. Obviously, I can't run the game in 4k (which I'm not trying to). I'm trying to run it at a much lower resolution - something like 1600x900 or 1920x1080 but when i do so, I can just never get in to the full screen and can only do windowed mode. When i enter the option for fullscreen, the game momentarily tries to go to full screen and after a black screen comes back to a windowed form. My only option of playing this game right now is going to my display settings and changing it to 1600 x 900 and playing it on borderless windowed..

Did anyone experience this and have any fix? Thanks

WOW. Dude, this actually worked! My taskbar was on top and I moved it bottom and now it works

Hey did u try forcing it to launch in full screen from origin, if not here's how to :

1.open origin, go to game library
2.right click apex and click properties
3.go to advanced launch options and type
"-fullscreen" without quotes.

Hey, just tried this but to no avail.. Same thing, it tried to start in fullscreen, screen goes black for a couple seconds and its back to windowed.

WOW. Dude, this actually worked! My taskbar was on top and I moved it bottom and now it works

I have a similar issue on my pc, when i set the game to full screen it works fine but it resets every time i launch the game the next time, anyone got any solutions?

Thanks, problem permanently solved as shown in the video by adding: -fullscreen to Advanced launch options of the game, forcing it to go full screen.

Every time I try to start the game, it starts in windows window. If I change it now in fullscreen the game will be minimized and I will not be able to open it anymore

I too had this problem! All it was, was the resolution after downloading was not at 1080 it was at one of the lowest resolutions. So be sure to check that in video settings and hope this helps someone!

I have a laptop with an i5-7300, 12GB ram, 1050 4GB and i cannot play Apex Legends in full screen. I used to be able to play it in full screen but then i reinstalled my OS (Windows 10) on my SSD which deleted Apex and all other games. i reinstalled Apex and it won’t let me play full screen. When i launch Apex it’ll be in fullscreen but all i see is a black screen. i can hear the game and hear my cursor going over selectable tabs. When i press Alt+Enter it goes into windowed and then i can see. I would appreciate any help.
