Unable to Unlink Steam & add Xbox Friends
I used to play on Xbox and recently got a PC to play on. I originally downloaded the game on Steam and on my EA account it has linked my Xbox account and Steam account to my EA account. I unlinked the Steam account hoping that would log me into my xbox account and be able to search for my xbox friends. When I loaded the game it relinked my Steam account and I can no longer unlink that account till 2/2021. I deleted Apex and downloaded through Origin. Still unable to find my friends xbox accounts, is there a way to remove the Steam account and just have the xbox? I would only play Apex if I can play with my friends, and at the moment, we cannot seem to connect at all. Please help!
Ok, so what I understand is that you want to unlink your steam account and link your Xbox account.
First of all, by linking your xbox account that doesn't add all of your xbox friends, it just says you have a link in between those accounts. I play apex on the origin launcher so if you play through there and go to your friends list on the left side it should say something like unlink steam account. Press that. Then, after a relaunch you should be good. If you can't add your xbox friends manually through the find friends list then they probably have an option in their ea account not allowing them to add crossplay players as friends but can still play with them. They can change that in the ea account settings page.
