Hey everyone,
What settings is everyone using in game for voip and sounds? (screenshot of this would help)
What headset are you using?
Have you tried a power cycle and then started the game up?
How to power cycle on Xbox:
- Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
- Plug the console power cable back in.
- Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Hey Atic,
I'm on the Xbox One X using the Astro A40 TR's with the USB Mixamp. I cannot hear other players, but can see their mics being activated and the voice to text feature will attempt to convert what they are saying so that I can read it.
I have also tried directly plugging the 3.5mm headphones straight into my controller without the mixamp hooked up, but audio does not work still. A friend has the same issue and is using Polk Audio headphones plugged directly into his controller.
I've made sure the firmware on my controller and on my Astro MixAmp has been updated to the latest version. I have deleted and recreated all xbox ports and redid the port forwards.
I have also tried the power cycling and restarting my modem. Other games work as intended and my NAT is set to open without any issues being detected by the xbox live troubleshooter.
What would you like a picture of from an xbox? console audio settings?

I have played only 1 game since launch that has had a person speaking. Other than that, my mic and other teammates mic's light up when talking but I can't hear anything nor do I know if they can hear me. I love the game so its very frustrating!
I've tried your troubleshoot Xbox reset, but that's silly to even suggest when so many people are having an issue. It's clearly within the game, not the Xbox system. Why can't the game roll out an update to address this issue?
Sincerely Frustrated,
ErikTheRed
- 7 years agoNot working. It's within the game, not the Xbox system

- 7 years agoWell they are trying to help. Sometimes you need to start with the obvious. I work in a support department, so I get it. The person helping doesn't make commission on coin sales. Lets try and be kind to one another. :-) Besides the ping system works well to get you by until they fix it.

Thanks @EA_Atic .
Below are the screenshots requested. Tried to reset my xbox as well after today's updates but still unable to hear players in-game, but they can hear me and the voice to chat setting puts their words in chat.
Thanks for the assistance again.

As an update to my previous post .
When my wife and I are in a squad together. Our third never can communicate.
When I play alone it is hit or miss, the only two times it has worked they were both a two-stack that knew each other and we were all able to communicate. It has only worked those two times.

TEMPORARY FIX:
I read this on another site and I could hear players for a few games, then it stopped again. Go into settings and turn Voice to Text on and off again. There are TWO "Voice to Text" options, one is in gameplay and one is in audio. Do it in both.
Hope this helps for some people, it worked for a little bit for me. I'm going to try it again tonight.
- 7 years agoi read that tried it but it still didn't help just doesn't make sense that it works sometimes and not others even though my settings are the same

I've tried that multiple times to no avail. I've never had voice at all.

- 7 years agoThe number of times I tried all that kind of fix....I'm glad it worked for you, but hasn't for me at all.

So I was having the same problem. I would start the game up and would have zero audio(headset and TV). All I had to do was hard restart my Xbox One S. Held down the power button for 10 seconds until the light turned off. I then unplugged my power cable for about 10 more seconds. Plugged it back and turned it on and now it works. Hopefully this helps!

i can't believe that this game is still broken jesus christ all mighty is nobody doing anything?you don't even have the decency to come on these boards and let us know what is happening that is pure ridiculous but hey at least you have fixed the part where we can spend cash thank god for that the game would play really badly if we couldn't pay for coins eh?what about you give us a little update and stop this * from getting right on my fuking nerves
- 7 years ago
that doesn't work glad it did for you but not for me tried it several times to no avail

Has this problem still not been sorted?!
Ive tried every tint and solution that been given in this thread and from other posts related to this problem!
This is not a Console problem.
EA is this an error on your end or Respawn?
Can we get an update?

@EA_Atic The issue is still ongoing for me. I will be out of the country for 2 weeks if you ask for any additional troubleshooting steps.
I've done some more testing and still have been unable to communicate in-game with teammates on my xbox one x. I have tried enabling and disabling the voice to text options while adjusting the volume sliders to see if they help at all. Still unable to hear any in-game audio.
I have downloaded and played the game on PC and am able to talk with players in-game without any issues.
I can't see the issue being with the game as it seems to be impacting a small amount of players.
To My Fellow Players:
Please post up your current setup to see if we have a common product that could help narrow down the issue.
Type of Xbox, Type of Headphones, 3.5mm input or Optical, or any other peripherals used
I have an Xbox One X, Using Astro A40 TR Xbox Edition with the Mixamp, I use the Optical connection for sound and its set to Sonic Audio in my sound settings. I have AT&T U-Verse as my provider.
Simply saying It doesn't work, Doesn't help narrow the scope of possible rationale for the issues we share.
