I log into the game and get 60 packet loss. When I Alt+Tab, it drops to 0. With FPS locked at 20 or 100 — no loss. From 110 it appears (5), at 120 — 10, at 150 — 40. Only in Apex Legends. GPU: 4070 Ti Super, CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
I have a very similar issue. For me it's also only in Apex Legends. At 144 FPS I consistently get around 30% outgoing packet loss. If I limit my FPS to 120, the packet loss drops to around 17%. If I limit my FPS to below 100, the packet loss disappears completely. Another strange observation: if I enable Adaptive V-Sync (1/2 Refresh Rate), the outgoing packet loss jumps to around 68%. My hardware: GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, Windows 11 (I had exactly the same issue on Windows 10) I've tested two different ISPs, two different network adapters (including an external USB adapter), and another PC on the same network has no packet loss at all. This really doesn't look like a network issue. One more strange thing: sometimes a clean NVIDIA driver reinstall temporarily fixes the problem for a few matches, but then the packet loss suddenly comes back in the middle of a game without changing any settings or rebooting the PC. It really looks like the outgoing packet loss is somehow related to frame rate or the interaction between Apex Legends and the NVIDIA graphics driver. Have you found any workaround besides limiting FPS? At this point I'm trying to determine whether this is an Apex engine issue or an NVIDIA driver issue. If anyone else with RTX 40/50 series GPUs is experiencing the same behavior, please share your hardware and FPS limit. It would be useful to know whether this affects more configurations.
