Why do I have massive FPS Drops on Olympus?
I have massive FPS drops on Olympus from a stable capped 190 to 80-90 FPS. However, only when I look in certain directions. All settings are on low and full HD. One thing I have noticed is that it gets worse when I have Twitch open in the background.
My specs are:
Ryzen 5600x
Red Devil 6800XT
MSI B450 A Pro
16GB 3200MHz CL16 RAM
600W be quiet
Things I have tried:
Windows reinstalled (clean),
Precision Boost Overdrive enabled,
graphics card undervolted
@12_51is_the_time Could be a driver issue. I've only had two different GPU's since Olympus released and each one had a frame drop in a different location. I had a GTX 1070 and when I went near the waterfall it would tank my FPS down to about 40. Then I got a RTX 3060ti and now it isn't the waterfall, it is the grass in a very specific area. But it only happens if I have a certain setting on, I think either dynamic or spot shadows can't remember which one. You could try this:
