@DanielRicciardo This is what I`m asking for the whole time. Not everyone lives in Europe, where the game is the most popular.
I will just repost what I wrote previously so more people could see. I added some new points also.
I see only an overwhelming majority of positives when it comes to server browser/server system for the game modes like Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush.
POSITIVES:
+ Join an existing server and stay with the same players
+ Empty, half-empty, full server to avoid pointless AI farms
+ Choose the region and sort out the servers by ping
+ See the current players on the server and balance
+ Check community discord or TeamSpeak, website, and so on in the description
Ability to choose among:
+ game mode or a mix of game modes
+ map(s)
+ tickets
+ game mode map size
+ prevailing server rules
+ vehicular/infantry
+ clan-based servers
+ private servers
+ hardcore/classic/standard mode
+ standard/custom/modded
+ ranked/unranked/private server rankings (last seen in BF2)
When the anti-cheat software fails, communities prevail!
NEGATIVES:
- some of the server rules might seem odd (but the abundance of servers including EA Official ones compensates that).
- some of the bans might be forced or based on flawed reasoning (anti-cheat have a tendency to fail too and ban for mouse software or on-screen performance metrics and so on).
Those who wish for more consistent experience might still join Official EAs dedicated servers in previous Battlefields. I don`t recommend it because PB is down, only community servers have capabilities to defend themselves against cheaters and other in-game exploiters.
Lobby with Specialists belongs in highly competitive Squad vs Squad, 5vs5, Battle Royale experience - not 32 vs 32 Conquest.
The BF2042 is a no-go zone for the overwhelming majority of veterans.
