It's been discussed and quite a lot of whats mentioned holds up to scruitiny. Personally i think it's an overhaul of Firestorm which flopped hard.
As long as nothing gets confirmed officially in any way, we can't tell if it's gonna be true or not. But i don't think we'll see a BR again like it was in BFV as it wasn't working out as expected.
Even tho we don't know yet what Hazard Zone will be like. 😉
That might be a new thing close to a BR in any way (team based maybe) and that could be a reason for certain mechanics in the game we saw during the Beta.
But well, as i said... it's true if something gets confirmed officially.

or we wait for the kotaku leaks. these things never gets confirmed officially.
@sollitdude1 at the end of the day, the Team will decide what to official confirm before a game release and what to surprise us with.
We'll never know everything befor launch. 🙂

I definitely think BF2042 was created around a different game mode than conquest. Here's some of the odd things I've noticed in the beta to support this.
- The scoreboard made no sense for conquest. It didn't tell us who the top scoring players are or how many kills they have. All it showed was kills for your own squad.
- The T system is great and I like it a lot, but it seems weird there's no way to change our loadout between spawns. It's like the T system is designed around a game mode where you only have one life and pick up ammo and attachments laying around on the Battlefield and equip them using the T system. So it's perfect for a Battle Royale mode because it doesn't require a respawn screen to change your loadout.
- There's body armor plates which I like and is fun, but obviously came from Firestorm.
I'm fine with DICE turning conquest onto a battle royale hybrid, but there needs to be more battle royale looting elements in conquest so it's more fun. For example, if I down someone carrying a rocket launcher, ammo crate, or med pack I should be able to loot those items and use them.
DICE took away kit swapping so now there's no way for us to loot those items and it's limiting the fun and sandbox experience in conquest. In a sandbox game mode I want to be able to loot everything a downed player is carrying, just like in battle royale.
I'm puzzled why DICE only lets us loot the main weapon and pistol off downed players.
So by all means turn conquest into a battle royale with flags and repawns. I'm all for it! But please add the battle royale looting system to go along with it and enhance the sandbox experience and fun factor.
Let’s be honest it kinda makes perfect sense then you have portal for your legacy battlefield fix

I cant see it. If that were the case, does that mean the BR map was cut up? There's a project... can someone have a go at putting them back together again? If they fit I'll believe it.
it's nonsense.
They've had the Specialist idea since BF1 Incursions at the very least. IT's there because it is a thing in many games these days for various reasons. It's R6, it's in Overwatch, it's in Apex. etc.
Revive system is unfinished. I remember BF1's revive system was a bit wonky at launch or beta as well. This one felt unpolished/unfinished.
T weapon config also makes sense in a BF game on large maps. Large maps have been a staple in past BF games. It makes sense when the player base has always liked attachments. It makes sense when the player base always complains about not being able to engage in every encounter. See complaints in BFV with medics who can't engage long distance. Or BF1 medics who didn't have short range weapons. etc.
There aren't factions because there are Specilaists. Scoreboard is just merely not finished/properly working yet at time of beta build.
Vehicle balance is not terrible. And in past BF betas, it hasn't been perfect either. Planes were broke in BFV beta.
Capping flags doesn't feel like a rush job. Don't know where that comes from.
Map feature merely not working properly yet in the beta build so it isn't there.
What I see is an unfinished beta. History of BF launches is one of unfinished/buggy releases. I also see a pandemic that has delayed and pushed back many projects.
Also remember they have Hazard Zone. So if you want to believe in conspiracy theories sorta speak then believe that they developed Hazard Zone first and Conquest afterwards.
No, not at all. Not even close.
Firestorm didn't do so well and you think they'd risk the franchise on that?!
The beta was a small slice of the final game. It definitely felt like a BF game though.
