There are now. At the time of the change, there were not. For the first couple weeks, armor was nigh indestructible. Pilots didn't die and played all game without a respawn (unless another vehicle targeted them)
Which was always going to happen when snipers can still equip rocket launchers for example.
Since those launchers are for the most part Lis, bad sniper is bad. They light themselves up and give away their locations. That being said, they are not the ones who are rocketing you. Ive been playing, those rockets are not coming from snipers. Snipers do not care about pilots, they are farming infantry.
Turns out weapon proficiencies isn't a big enough draw to persuade players to stick to their class guns.
It was at the beginning, but what you do not realize is, it was you, the pilots, who told them what to do. In the beginning, there was less then 10% map presence of Rockets, and they were not working together. Vehicles were running roughshod over everything. 100 kills and any pilot deaths came from other vehicles for the most part. The odd vehicle who died by Lis came here screaming OMG SHE IS OP!!!!!!!!!!!!! They misrepresented information on Lis, they posted outright incorrect information about her abilities, whining ad nausea to get her nerfed. After several weeks of being farmed, those infantry players had a few choices.
1: Stick with status quo and be frustrated
2: Go to another game
3: Play rockets.
With all the bellyaching the pilots did, the infantry player base had enough and based on Pilots info (they were reading), they switched to Lis. Now, the tables have turned. Players are playing as DICE designed and pilots are still whining, still sharing misinformation, still outright misrepresenting data in order to get EZMode. What was it another thread said, constantly dodging missiles is not fun? Yet, there was no mention that infantry constantly dodging vehicle fire wasn't fun. It is this incredible hypocrisy that pilots used to nerf infantry. They expect the rules of the game to change for their ease. I find it ironic that in the Lis nerf, DICE talked about skill, yet there is no mention of the skill necessary for pilots to dodge missiles. It just goes to show DICE sets the skill level for survival very high on infantry, and incredibly low on pilots.

Ironically, you were part of the people getting players to give up their guns for rockets. It was you, among others, who convinced them that a Specialist was OP (when she wasn't) . And like most pilots, playing an OP part of the game was attractive to them, after getting farmed incessantly.
Funny thing is, if 25% of the player base continues to play Lis, these changes will change little on the message boards. Rocket range isn't an issue when you have many people playing Lis. Pilots will continue to whine, continue to beg for nerfs, continue to expect to survive, rather then exhibit skill to survive. They whine about C5, they will whine about multiple Lis. Pilots will continue to whine because they believe infantry isn't there to combat them, they are there for their KD Epeen, and anything that might threaten that, needs a nerf. What!!! We can't hover to farm infantry, NERF THEM!!!!!!! What! We cant park at the flag and farm infantry, NERF THEM! Too many of them playing together!!!! NERF THAT. Yes, nerf teamwork has been a foundation of pilot posts.
I do await future posts that Air vs Armor is unfair and nerfs needs to be applied. Oh wait, there already is a thread about that.
