Audio dropouts with EVGA Nu Audio Sound Card
I am sporadically getting audio dropouts with my EVGA Nu Audio sound card and I think it has to do with EA Anticheat software. In every match the sound gets cut out for a second and then comes back. This happens several times throughout the match. It is not game breaking in any way but it is slightly annoying.
I believe this is linked to EA Anticheat because it only happens in games that rely on this service (Besides BF2042 I am taking part in the Skate insider preview which uses EA Anticheat too and has the same issues). No other games or activities cause audio dropouts on my PC. So EAAC is the common denominator.
I read in another forum that a similar issue had plagued USB audio interfaces by Focusrite in the past and seemingly the solution was EAAC whitelisting the affected Focusrite devices. Since the EVGA Nu Audio is essentially a USB-DAC as well (even though it is an internal PCIe card, it communicates with the PC via an Asmedia USB interface) I guess a similar solution is needed here.
