I have played two games of conquest tonight. At the end of the round the screen went black with backround music and nothing happened. I left it for 10min. Manually shut down my xbox one and restarted and same thing happened after the next round of conquest
I experienced the same issue on PC, I have noticed that if I fail to load any spot lit players models or squad players models (spinning crosshairs) I encounter this bug.
@La_Varda1 I mostly play conquest 128, and I had the thought to try conquest 64. I was able to play 5 games without the black screen issue. So I am curious what game mode you play that encounter the black screen and if you and @samboleary can replicate similar results on a lower player count game mode.
Same issue on PC, regardless if I wait for the "continue" timer to reach 0 or I press "continue".
Happens maybe in 80% of the cases, not sure if it depends on a game mode or player count.
The standard "repair your game / update the video driver / close all other programs / etc." * is done just in case, except of course reinstalling my windows and deleting everything else including offline backups and the whole neighborhood's data because it is me. No, it is not. It is a bug.
No other game or program has this (or any) issue, the drivers are the latest, and the game is fine - it is a bug.
Would be nice to fix, quite annoying to force-stop the whole game after every round.

Same applies to me. PC, running on M.2 SSD. Doubt it should be performance deficit.
It is happening regardless of my SSD (so I'd close out the drive being not fast enough) and no other game do it.
And I completely agree on the annoyance, I'm evading conquest and doing limited-time mode for the reason that this is happening so many times.
Should any devs need system info: i7-9700k, 2080S, WD Black SN770 (but only has 3.0 so not 4.0 speed), 48 GB DDR4 (3*16), Windows 10 Pro.
1,5 years later this still happens to a lot of players.Only thing players can do is alt+f4 and restart the game. While your squad is already loading in. So they they have to back out of the game again. Because otherwise I will be in a queue for half of the game etc etc.
It's an old bug, but apparently hard to fix, or it is being ignored.
I'm also suffering from black screen bug.
I can play the game fine but soon as a round finishes i have a 50/50 chance the next round won't load in and it just gets stuck with a black screen.
Alt+F4 or Alt+Tab and kill the process is the only option to get past it. Sounds still play in the background so it's not fully crashing it just gets stuck.
For me it just started with this new DLC - I have 5800X3D w/32GB RAM & a 2070 Super on Windows 11...everything is updated.
