Hey @PBMS123,
It's unfortunate to read that you're having connection issues with Battlefield 2042.
I would recommend to try out some troubleshooting to see if we can help get you back online.
When you have the chance, I would recommend starting out with the basic & advanced connectivity steps from the EA Help website:
Basic: http://x.ea.com/ea/basic-connection-ts
Advanced: http://x.ea.com/ea/advanced-connection-ts
If you're still getting the same error message after you've performed the steps, please let us know! So you can't lookup what the code is? What it means? Surely error codes are there to work out the issue? I've done the troubleshooting FYI, my internet connection is fine, I literally just downloaded the game. Why is it that when there's a problem its just shafted onto players, as if it's their fault? It's the first (and usually only) solution posted.
What does the error code mean? What does it correspond to?
I was able to play the game while downloading it, you know against AI on that single map, and now it won't get past this screen.
Come on EA I've just handed you $130- EA_Leeuw4 years ago

Hey @PBMS123,
The error that you're receiving is a generic 'unable to connect' error.
What you can also give a try is, if you have the possibility to do so, setting up a Mobile Hotspot (3g/4g connection) and connecting your PC to that hotspot to see if you can get past the network error.
I would also recommend trying to get in touch with your ISP to check if they might be aware of potential issues.
May I ask the region you're playing from? I'm from Australia, I've never had an issue like this, I was able tod ownload the game, and even able to play the game while it was downloading.
I can play every other Battlefield title, my ISP doesn't block anything, and I use Google and Cloudflare DNS so I'm not using ISP DNS.

@PBMS123, while you mention that you were able to play the game while it was downloading; this is possible as the mode that you can play while the game is still downloading in the background, is the offline tutorial mode. This doesn't require connection to the servers. Got the same issue. I have reset everything, checked router settings, used both wired and WiFi, reinstalled it and done all the network tests on XboX series X.
I can get online by tethering to my mobile phone.
I have tried BF 4 and 5, and they work fine with my internet. I have spoken to my provider and nothing wrong. The only thing I've noticed is that it's on ipv 4 and not 6. XboX says it will do ipv6 through ipv 4 and my router has ipv6 enabled.
I am in the UK with fibre.
Really need to sort this out because I can't play £100,- worth of game!

@Beckala3505and if ya disable ipv6 ?
forget it , its tunneling true ipv6, sorry !
I haven't disabled IPv6. Xbox series X apparently tunnels it through IPv 4.

Hey @Beckala3505,
There were some server issues yesterday that affected many, if not all, games. Could you maybe check the game again to see if you're able to connect or not? - Rokebo733 years agoSeasoned Ace@SpaceWolves1991 some details please, pc game ? what game platform ?
