EA Anticheat not working

So my problem is since I got a new PC with all new parts except one SSD, no games using EA Anticheat will run. No errors, no nothing. Just splash screen then it returns me to the origin app. I've tried everything short of completely deleting everything and freshly installing windows. (I have tried to upgrade to windows 11 with no luck).

Anyone who had this problem? How did you solve it? I swear I've tried every single thing I've found on the internet so far.

sneakydk1 To show system files in Windows 11, open File Explorer, go to the "View" tab, and then check the "Hidden items" box. You may also need to uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" in the "Options" window to see protected system files.

I also got the same issue...  after 791 hours gameplay,,, out of the blue   Cant find the cahce for BF 2042

It also happend to BF V,,,  so something  reinstalled...

  • So, it appears that when C:\Users\(yourlocaluser)\AppData\Local\BattlefieldGameData.kin-release.Win32 fills, even after one game, it precludes the Windows Filter Manager check and bounces you back into the EA App without loading BF2042.  I deleted the cache again and was able to join.   Very weird issue and I hope EA_UltraSlide or others can get this to the app developers for an update fix.

Spoke too soon.  Played one game and then same issue.   Going to clear cache and try again.

I can confirm the above cache deletion, along with putting secure boot into audit mode in Win10 (not sure if this solved it or not) allowed me back into the game.   I was receiving the Windows Filter Manager unloading EA Anti Cheat in event logs error that many are experiencing.  Started out of the blue after over 800 hours of game play on PC.

    Try deleting these cache folders.

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\BattlefieldGameData.kin-release.Win32\cache

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\BattlefieldGameData.kin-live.Win32\cache

It's hard to say what the issue is. The hardware identifiers stored by EA Anticheat probably don't match anymore because of the new PC hardware.

EA Anticheat also requires Secure Boot to be enabled in BIOS. Windows 11 requires Secure Boot also, so if you're running Windows 11 then it's already enabled in BIOS.

Windows was installed, not sure what else. I've tried reinstalling/repairing everything multiple times except Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

Just tried and still having the same issue

  • Was there anything still installed on the old SSD when you put it in the new PC?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling all of the following?

    • EA App
    • EA anti-cheat
    • Battlefield
    • Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
