yup, previously had to use a macro file to lower the amount of threads it was using but that seems to of disappeared now and no longer works, i really enjoy this game hit rank 100 on the season pass last season and had a blast with breakthrough but this new map doesn’t seem to like my system much

Hello to everyone who reading this i recently have a problem with my another pc that maxing out CPU not GPU but in the lobby it seems to be alright and when i try to play a match my CPU goes 100% and my GPU barely using 50% of usage my specs are Ryzen 5 4500 GTX 1660 Super 16 Gb ram ddr4 3200 also it is installed on m.2 SSD i tried reinstalling the game also tried reinstalling the game but I can't find any solution it was running pretty good before but now days i have this problem if anyone would like to help me i would really appreciate that

Game continues to use 100% CPU since Season 3 update, now in Season 5

It seems they don't even acknowledge this as a problem anymore... I guess it's working as intended :/... I have a 9900k and my work around has been to cap my frames using nvidia control panel settings. I was previously locked around 138fps and instead manually capped it at 120 and it's cut down a little CPU usage for me. Enough to give me slight overhead at least. Nvidia control panel also has a setting for out-of-focus fps limit if you want it. That one's nice so when you alt-tab, even if in borderless window, you can have it cap even lower while your use other parts of your system.

Hello, I bought the game, I can't play 64 and 128 player modes. Tried all possible options. And user.cfg. And lowered the settings to the minimum. Nothing helps. TN jumps up to 1500 and back in battles, along with falling fps. Tell me what can be done in this case?

I have Legion 5 Pro 16ARH7H with Ryzen 9 6900hx and Rtx 3070ti, in all games CPU usage is about 40-60%, even in RDR2 about 60%, but in BF42 is 90-100% but GPU usage is about 80-90%, so I think it's a bug or something like that

I am still having this issue as well on an i7-10700F. No other game produces this issue. I have cleaned out my system, checked the CPU. Added the config file(Which did absolutely nothing). I just want to play the game but if I go into 64 or higher matches it becomes unplayable. I just want to play the damn game I paid for with my friends. How many months do I have to keep waiting for a fix?

I'll give an example: BF1 at 60fps feels more smooth than BF2042 at 110fps!
Something is not right.
Why this game need to use 100% cpu too if that dont make it smooth?
