Hmm, I will list everything I've done that may have contributed to the fix in my case.
The things I have underlined are the fixes I listed in the previous post I made.
- Updating EA Anticheat
- Repairing EA Anticheat (same way as updating, just clicking repair in the EA Anticheat installer software)
- Allowing battlefield into the firewall (both private and public)
- Allowing all EA related applications into the firewall (both private and public)
- Allowing EA Anticheat and EA Javelin Anticheat into the firewall (both private and public)
- Adding Windows Defender exclusions to the Battlefield game folder and EA desktop folder
- In Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings > Exclusions > Add an exclusion > Folder
- Add C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop
- Add C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042
- Command prompt network commands
- Press the Windows key and enter "cmd" and run as administrator
- Paste the following and press Enter
- ipconfig /flushdns
- ipconfig /registerdns
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- netsh winsock reset
- restart pc
- Give both anticheat services admin permissions through properties
Setting dns client from disabled to automatic
I am not sure which of these are necessary, but I listed all of them anyway.
