Fun fun fun. Ok more digging and found some old forum posts both EA and Steam: What is error code 1:4688822970:-4685921b? | EA Forums - 6980771 and 1:4688822970:-4685921B Error :: Battlefield™ 2042 General Discussions so we got a few different approaches. EA one says verify and disable overlay, steam one goes into Registry.

Seems this is a weird one.

I have been on all of them and tried every single solution. Nothing seems to work. I have not been able to star and finish a game in over two years. Its insane.
