A little update after my previous post...
First of all, thank you once again for motivating me to do a little experiment.
I wanted to find out whether what I've been experiencing for hundreds of hours was just in my head, so I created a brand-new account.
The results were... interesting.
Without my controller properly configured, without my usual settings, without any unlocked weapons, and without any muscle memory on the new profile, I won two out of my first three matches.
In one of those games, I eliminated the entire last squad by myself—four players—to win the match.
My K/D after just a few games was close to 10.
Enemies suddenly went down exactly when they should. Finishing them off felt effortless. I had plenty of time to react. I could hear everything. I could see everything. Even the rocket launcher mysteriously stopped doing those random "not now" reloads that seem to happen so often on my main account with 600+ levels.
Funny how that works.
Maybe it's all just a coincidence.
Maybe it's luck.
Or maybe there's more going on behind the scenes than we're supposed to know.
So here's my question.
Why does the game feel so completely different on a fresh account compared to an account with more than 600 levels and over 100 hours invested?
If there are systems designed to help new players enjoy the game, then just say so. At least everyone knows the rules.
If there aren't, then I'd genuinely like an explanation for why the experience changes so dramatically.
Because from where I'm standing, it feels like the better solution is to create a new account than to keep progressing on the one I've spent years building.
And if the goal is to make new players feel powerful so they'll stick around longer, buy skins, battle passes, and other cosmetics... while veteran players have already spent what they're going to spend... then that's a conversation worth having.
I'm not claiming I've proven anything.
I'm saying this experiment made my long-standing concerns even harder to ignore.
Either way, I'd love to hear an explanation—because right now, this doesn't feel like natural matchmaking or normal variation.
It feels like I'm playing two completely different games depending on which account I log into.
Another Update... Another Thank You ❤️
I'd just like to take a moment to thank the developers for yet another game update.
As always, the patch notes tell us that "various bugs have been fixed."
It's a beautiful tradition at this point.
The only mystery is... which bugs?
Because the ones players have been reporting for months are still here.
Hit registration still feels inconsistent.
Audio still decides when it wants to exist.
Servers still seem to have a personality of their own.
And somehow, after every update, I find myself wondering whether some of the old issues have actually become even worse.
The silence is probably my favorite part.
Hundreds of players report the same problems.
Posts receive hundreds—sometimes thousands—of likes from people experiencing exactly the same thing.
Yet meaningful responses are almost impossible to find.
No explanation.
No discussion.
No acknowledgement of the issues people are actually talking about.
Just another update.
Just another list of "bug fixes."
Just another bundle in the store.
At this point, it feels like the community is being asked to keep guessing.
"Was it fixed?"
"Is it my connection?"
"Is it the servers?"
"Is it the netcode?"
Or should we just wait for the next update that promises to fix everything without telling us what actually changed?
I don't expect perfection.
I expect communication.
When so many players are describing the same issues over and over again, the worst possible response isn't "we're still investigating."
It's pretending the conversation isn't happening.
Battlefield has always had one of the most passionate communities in gaming.
People aren't writing long posts because they hate the game.
They're writing them because they want a reason to keep playing it.
Please stop treating that passion like background noise.
Right now, it feels as though the loudest feedback comes from the store, while the gameplay itself is expected to wait for another "Various bug fixes" update.
