Anyone else think it be cool to have dynamic weather and time of day? Imagine rainstorms. Imagine night falling and having the option to switch on NVGs. Personally I think it would look sick but don’t know how hard it be for the devs to make it happen.
I don’t know if you have ever played The Division or The Division 2. They have such a system and it’s interesting to see how the whole map changes with the weather and day/night cycle. Combine that with strategically placed lighting. That would be really fun tbh.
That was one of the things I wanted as well. I hope in Portal that becomes a reality. All in all the games destruction, atmosphere, and portal are all looking real positive so far.
Yeah that’s exactly what I mean, played both games. Would be sick to see tracers flying around and stuff like that. A dynamic time of day and weather system would just be perfect.
I am definitely for it. It can be a relatively rare occurrence (it will appear once in 5-10 rounds or so) and doesn't need to be severe, like just an overcast or a mild sandstorm in Cairo, etc., but it certainly may add a bit of novelty to the maps.
If they don't put dynamic weather in this game then it would be the first battlefield without it
I'd love for at least a multi-time of day format, I don't necessarily need it flooding out Cairo but having a day/evening/night style map would change it up a bit with just different lighting. But I can imagine that it becomes hard to balance in some cases with visibility and shadows.

? I could be mistaken or my memory may be failing, but BF3, BF4, BF1, BF hardline all didn’t have any form of dynamic weather or day/night cycles. Please do correct me if I’m wrong.
Bf4 definitely did. The other two I'm not sure
BF4 had night maps, but that was about it.
Dynamic weather and time of day would be cool, maybe like in BF1. But rainstorms? Remember the sandstorms and especially the tornados in BF2042? It looked cool the first couple of times I saw them. But then later I wished they would not appear in the game anymore.
