Adjust skill-based matchmaking

I play BF6 in Japan, but recently the matchmaking balance has been significantly off. There are a lot more matches with huge ticket gaps like 800 vs. 700, making it no fun whether we win or lose.
At its worst, the outcome is decided by a gap of over 1000 tickets.
If this happened occasionally, it might be tolerable, but I keep encountering consecutive matches with huge disparities.
I understand this game has skill-based matchmaking, but is it actually working?
Personally, I think matches would be much more enjoyable if the skill-based matchmaking adjusted to prevent such large disparities in combat strength between the two sides.
