About the Muzzle Velocity of Sniper Rifles
Overall, I understand that sniper rifle bullet speeds have been lowered across the board and that the L115’s maximum bullet speed has increased, but I’m still not convinced by the fact that the PSR’s maximum bullet speed has been lowered and that the Mini Scout’s maximum bullet speed is still on par with sniper rifles designed for ultra-long ranges.
As for the PSR, does it have some special characteristic that justifies lowering its maximum bullet speed that much? I’ve been using it all the way up to Mastery Level 50, but I don’t find that weapon threatening enough to warrant such a drastic reduction in bullet speed.
Is there some amazing aspect of the PSR—like high anti-air damage—that I haven’t noticed?
As for the Mini Scout, I’ve posted about it extensively in the discussion threads. Even though it comes standard with the ADS Bolt, its only drawback is the lack of a one-shot kill range against the torso. With the ability to equip every top-tier attachment, it’s currently the strongest weapon available, and having this weapon ensures you’ll be satisfied in any situation. Frankly, because this weapon is so high-performing, there’s almost no benefit to using any other sniper rifle.
I’d like to see the performance of sniper rifles reevaluated once again.
