Air vehicle quibbles

AA missiles hard to see
In jets at least, it is quite difficult to visually see the source of a missile, i.e. smoke. This isn't really important for survivability, as you don't need to visually see a missile; you always just flare/use environment/try to outrun, and for those the general lock direction is enough.

It is, however, important for some counter play. I'd like to know the general area, not just a general cardinal direction, to spot for teammates or try to attack directly on the next strafe.

If this isn't by design, a larger smoke trail would help, or however previous BF games did it.

Out of bounds auto-kill timer can be short
On some maps, the timer can be like 4 seconds for helicopters, which is very punishing.

Transport helicopters do not change direction easily. Rotation can be fast, but there is a delay of sorts until you start actually moving. Death to out of bounds happens frequently when entering out of bounds directly perpendicular to the boundary, i.e. straight out, instead of at an angle. This requires the pilot to immediately have to 180 and then wait for the helicopter to start moving, which isn't enough time to get back into bounds.

This is a skill issue, for sure, and we'll learn to work around it. It may be that the timer is that short on some maps in order to prevent certain OP flight paths.

However if not by design, right now feels overly harsh.

Misc

Probs heard before, but air radar needs to cover more distance

Don't think this has ever been done in any BF, but would be nice to still control during freelook, if the control binds do not conflict (i.e. use mouse to freelook but still accept keyboard inputs to pitch/yaw/roll)

While I do like how vulnerable the transport heli is (1 rpg kills it), it may need a slight buff to compensate more for this. I like how it is harder to create a flying gunship vs a transport, but survivability still feels off.

I'm OK with map repair centers taking a long time to repair, however on some maps there don't seem to be any, at least for helicopters, though I may be making this up.

Some maps, it seems there is no cover for helicopters at home base. This is just due to some maps having very close capture points to spawn, but seems like you can get locked on in places you shouldn't with nothing to block LOS.
