APS should not be effective against high-velocity projectiles

Ground APS should not be able to neutralise high-speed non-explosive projectiles such as 25- or 30-mm rounds.

In Battlefield 2042, AA (wildcats) could alternate between smoke and APS to pretty much make AGMs useless, while still being able to block 30 mm rounds. I'm hoping that things are different in battlefield.

  • There are systems (e.g. StrikeShield and Iron Fist) that can defeat high velocity kinetic energy penetrators such as APFSDS rounds. Iron Fist has been adopted for use on both the CV90 and Bradley platforms, those being the IFVs present in Battlefield 6. Furthermore, these can also defeat top-attack warheads.
