Banhammer

The ban system is broken. I have read other reviews claiming false positives. I got banned for 7 days out of no where and there are no penalties on my account. I did really well the day before with abnormal amount of bots in my lobby and that is the only reason I can assume I was banned. It takes too long to get a response from an appeal. There is no way to prove/disprove cheating in my opinion(I know little). I do know I missed a lot of shots. I have no idea how to even go about cheating. I am victim of a false positive please fix this. This will be a huge disappointment for the game if gamers loose interest or worse choose to drop the game.

  • Yeah, they false ban people often.

It's not about what you did or your stats. They don't take that into consideration at all.
Actual hackers are running around with 50% accuracy 90% headshot ratios on regular guns and don't get banned even after multiple months.

Their anticheat is just trigger happy for no valid reason and has been banning people from BF1 all through to BF6 baselessly.
I sat an account in a BF1 server on my reformatted PC with nothing but a fresh windows 11 install and BF1. It was idle waiting to start the server. I did not play and the account has 0 kills total. It got banned and they refuse to unban it - "3rd party apps / cheating".

They never have any form of discussion with you and don't care. Welcome to EA. This isn't a one-off case, it's happened over a thousand times.

I’ve been with EA since Battlefield 1 and have enjoyed Dragon Age a good bit. I just don’t see the point of creating a system where you can ban ppl with no recourse. I can’t even play campaign. The goal is to keep interest in the game. I see this as a huge deterrent if this continues. I know my connection to the servers probably timed out a few times where I fell out of the game. This was no fault of mine. I don’t understand enough of the ban system to even argue my point. I guess we’re just doomed to endure the poor service. Thank you for your kind response.

I would keep periodically putting in a ban appeal.
    Nothing to lose but sanity!

  • Go to EA chat help, and they can raise the claim, but heads up, the TOS team is utterly worthless. They'll stand by each and every decision without thought whatsoever. EA has it setup so you think that you have some sort of protection from false flags or being wrongfully banned because of some BS automation. They're not a good company, vote with your wallet.

I swear they protect cheaters more than anyone else.

They'll never explain their reasoning like you said. The EA chat guys are afraid, the developers are afraid, everyone is afraid to commit to an actual stance or reasoning. The TOS meaningless dribble they hide behind in order to use it however they feel that day.

Meanwhile, blatant cheaters run around without a care in the world.

  • Guys, what CPU are you running? Also, does your motherboard BIOS have the 'X3D Gaming Mode' feature, and do you have it enabled? Are you already familiar with this topic, which might be related to it... link?

P.S.: The video is in Polish, so you'll need to turn on English translation mode."

    Hi everyone,

I’m sharing my case here because I’m stuck in a loop with EA Support and I need to know if anyone else has faced this level of absurdity.

My account, which I’ve had for almost 10 years, was recently banned. The reason? I was strictly anti-nazi and I wasn't even using aggressive language. I have always stood against hate speech and extremist ideologies in-game, often reporting players for racism and xenophobia and nothing really happened to them, yet I am the one being penalized.

Every time I appeal, I receive the same automated response: "Being part of a gaming community should mean that all players are safe, welcome, and included."

The irony is painful: By banning an anti-extremist, EA is effectively saying that the environment must be "inclusive" for everyone, including the very nazi groups that their "Positive Play Charter" claims to ban.

I’ve been a loyal player for a decade. I am perfectly willing to change the tag to avoid automated flags, but getting a permanent ban for opposing Nazism is a slap in the face to any decent player.

Has anyone managed to get a real human to review a case like this? Any advice on how to escalate this beyond the copy-paste support bot?

The TOS team will not communicate with anyone. I'm not sure if the TOS team is in fact made of real people, they might just be a second layer of AI. If they are real people, shame on them for abusing their own rules.

I had a VERY similar experience. I will not support a company that protects that group. I received a week ban for having a very tame name, and with what I thought was a universally accepted take on that group. Guess not. I was banned for "hateful conduct". So it's hateful to call them weak now?

Do not support EA or Dice. Share with you friends why they shouldn't support them. Don't let your kids buy anything from either of them. Point out their hypocrisy on any forum you encounter. Leave negative reviews for any of their product you may already own. Don't be quiet about, that's what they want. Consume our product, don't think, we ban you for some absurd reason, go quietly. Not a f'ing chance.

I'm personally NEVER spending a single f'ing dime on anything owned by EA or Dice ever again. I've been playing Battlefield since Bad Company 2, and put thousands upon thousands of hours into the franchise. Never again, I'm completely done. I'm absolutely disgusted, and I will make sure everyone knows why.

Same for me Ive also been permanently banned for gameplay enhancements on the 26 of december and i really dont know what they mean by that cause im not using any cheat and i've been appealing numerous time since without any success. Its really frustrating that there is no chat for this, its mostly automated response i feel like and they never tell you what you did they just say you broke the terms of service with a link to it wich is really unclear cause its 7 pages of legal terms that require a lawyer to decipher.I wish you a better luck than mine as i now feel like i cant be confident enough to buy any other EA related game knowing they can just ban me for no reason.
