Battlefield 6 servers issue for console players
Hello DICE Team,
I would like to report an issue I’m experiencing with Battlefield 6 on console. I usually finish work late and can only start playing around 11:30 PM. At that time, I am able to join one or two full matches, but shortly after, all available servers switch to lobbies filled with bots.
This does not seem to affect PC players, who can find active servers throughout the day and night. However, on console—especially in the Europe region—it becomes almost impossible to find full matches after midnight. It’s hard to believe the player population drops to zero at that time.
Another issue is that bots don’t award kills properly but still count towards deaths, which makes the experience even more frustrating.
Could you please review the matchmaking system and the logic that fills servers with bots? The current explanation that bots are added for ping reasons doesn’t seem accurate in 2025, especially since most players have fast broadband connections and console matchmaking is region-based, which already minimizes the chance of high ping.
I would greatly appreciate any clarification or improvements to this situation.
Thank you.
