Can we please look at removing the 25% recoil reduction on controller?

That is a 4.5X scope on a TR-7 and bro was beaming with it. Good for him but is this what we want? Using a TR-7 on M+K even with a 35pt verti grip I can almost feel my table shake from the recoil. While balancing controller and M+K is not an easy job there is no reason to give such a huge reduction specially when recoil is used so extensively to balance weapons and PC players have no option to turn off crossplay and no one has the option to matchmake with only players using the same input.

  • My real problems with consolebots are the fact that the aimbot will track through walls, effectively giving them wallhack as well, and that they get lag advantage with the servers because the game was made to run on console first and PC second.

    It's no wonder PC players are leaving this game when they are treated like second class players.  Every day people are asking to disable crossplay, and every day EA releases a new skin that looks horrible.

    Having played on both and having friends who have tried both it seems to be down to the individual. Also played with and against some absolute beasts on controller who would probably kick my can even without aim assist. Its a balance thing for me. a 2kpm 5kdr controller player does not need the reduction but I would be happy if DICE kept it for those low KPM sub 1 KDR players to give them a bit of a help

    Agreed (except for the PC-only part; really the control used is what shouod be separated, otherwise you'll be playing against PC players who are using controllers). Once you master your preferred method of control, they are essentially equal. Perhaps you could say that a thumbstick isn't as precise or granular as a mouse, so they aren't equal, but they are close. Skill, age, and reflexes become much more of a determining factor instead of the control method.  There is no reason a controller should be given such an advantage regarding recoil and aim assist, when the control choice and mastery is completely up to the player regardless of which platform they play on. Especially when there are some situations (vehicles) where a controller has a clear advantage all the time.

    the controller shouldn't have any advantage over a mouse and keyboard, i think pc should have its own dedicated servers for pc only with a searchable server mode for private servers and redsec have a fair playing field if wanted.

    Well, a keyboard does nothing to control recoil. A mouse is the same thing as your thumbstick. Do you think it is harder to move a thumbstick down and right or left than it is to move a mouse down and right or left?  I think both are equally hard physically, and the actual hard part is predicting which way the recoil will bounce around randomly.  Removing most of that randomness for a controller user seems unfair.

    In beta, I saw a demonstration showing it was about 50% recoil reduction when using a controller. If it is now 25%, at least that is an improvement.  :-S

  • A 25% recoil reduction on controller???? how have i not heard this?  if thats true that needs removed immediately.
