I think the bigger issue is the fact that people don't even attempt to take down a tank. I've been in games with scenarios such as this:
- Circle is at construction near defense nexus.
- There are 10 teams remaining
- 1 tank is in the wide open while all other squads have cover
- As a duo we ended up killing 8 squads and took down the tank
- Found at least 8 RPGs from various squads (so... almost every team could've shot the tank in the wide open in the middle of the map, but all decided to rat instead?)
I've seen this scenario numerous times. And every time I play redsec, my squad is literallly the only one engaging with the tank. If they want to make tanks weaker, I would suggest increasing the number of anti tank weapons throughout redsec and increasing the splash damage when the tank explodes (this would make tank players have to leave much earlier, or risk greater penalty).
I understand what you are saying. And I believe you when you tell me it is possible to destroy a tank. But again you are forced to play with rpg just because there are tanks. You might as well remove the other equipment like defribilator , grenade interceptor etc. Just because you need that rpg in case of a tank.
And that allong with a situation where there are teams around you and the fire is pushing in your back. If you also have to handle a tank in such a situation it is nearly impossible to get out safely depending on terrain etc. I call it situational. And it is never begin of the game it is always near end game when there are already so many factors playing to stay alive.
P.s if i want to destroy tanks than i could go play world of tanks.
I am not against it . But make it only available before there is no redeployment anymore.
