Class Identity

I wanted to start this discussion about the class identity that has always defined this game.

I've been playing this game for a few days now, having purchased it after playing the open beta. I've noticed that compared to BF3/4, the classes are much more open and varied, allowing sniper rifles to be used by all classes instead of being relegated to the scout class, or even the defibrillator in the support class, or the spawn beacon in the assault class, when historically the assault class had the medikit and defibrillator, and the scout had the spawn beacon and motion sensor.
I believe the current class system needs to be redefined to rediscover the identity this game has always had, and which has distinguished it from other FPSs.

My idea, however, is a class system where weapons are relegated to each class, such as:
Assault: assault rifles, medikits, defib
Support: LMGS, ammo box
Engineer: antitank/air launchers, tourch welder, antitank mines
Recon: snipers, spawn beacons, motion sensors, and drones.
While DMRs, carbines, and shotguns remain available to all classes.

I agree 100% those gadgets need to go back to those classes, and give C4 to another class besides Recon.  The class gadgets are a mess as it is, and that assault epipen is garbage.

They worked perfectly like you said above for years in past Battlefields, not this BS we have now.
