Console v PC OCE Region issues and/or smaller regions

Please don't split the queues, and please don't merge us with SEA. This killed PUBG. I get the desire for people to have competitive ranked but we are a small region, so first priority should be stable queues in normal mode - just BR Quads (they're working well most days and on weekends). 

Completely agree with the above, can’t find any ranked games and waiting 10minutes plus! Even non ranked battle Royale games I’m playing with 110 latency, this will deplete even more of the player base as it won’t be enjoyable. Everyone speaking facts in this comment section. #LLOceaniaServers

OCE has a passionate but small player base.  I watched PUBG die in Australia from queue splitting.  Please don't make the same mistake.  We need 1 queue only, BR Quads.  

You can't completely solve this issue, does not mean you brush it under the rug.  Address the elephant in the room with anti cheat and competitve integrity is fine across the board but the game will literally die in smaller regions and moving shuffling those players to other servers isn't solving the underlying problem.  Dedicated servers means dedicated servers, you can't have a server in a region and not have it fully functional from a operational standpoint, you have now created a integrity issue by not supplying the promised services when we bought the game. 

As for regions that have lower populations you can't run an elite series open or qualifier and not have a ranked server in the actual region, dice us creating an actual competitve integrity problem by not allowing talent in the oce or aus region to play with each other in a ranked environment, its happened in halo and its happening here.  You just need to create a ranked server on Australia if you want Aussies to compete effectively in the elite series open.  

Honestly if OCE had the numbers I'd have no issue with the split at all, it makes sense in theory. But we just can't afford it here. All I want is a ranked experience where everyone's in the same pool together, the OCE community is already small enough as it is. Splitting it further is only going to hurt everyone's experience and push people away from the game entirely.

DICE need a regional exception for OCE. Full crossplay for ranked here, or at minimum an automatic merge when queues can't fill within a reasonable time. The OCE community is small but it's passionate, don't kill it before it gets started.

Supporting all the discussion above! Honestly, this is the bigger issue people outside OCE probably don’t realise. In large regions, splitting console and PC might improve competitive integrity, but in smaller regions it can completely kill matchmaking health. Once queue times start getting too long, people stop queuing, which then makes the problem even worse. We’ve watched this cycle happen with so many multiplayer games in OCE already.

The ping issue also shouldn’t be brushed aside. Being forced into overseas servers at 100–170 ping isn’t just “slightly worse,” it genuinely changes gunfights, peeking, movement timing, and overall confidence taking engagements. Ranked especially is supposed to measure skill, but high ping creates a disadvantage before the match even starts.

I think the devs need to look at OCE differently instead of applying the exact same matchmaking rules globally. 

Maybe that means:

• Dynamic queue merging after a certain wait time
• No platform split in low population regions
• Limited ranked playlists instead of multiple fragmented queues

Right now the concern isn’t whether crossplay separation is a good idea in theory, it’s whether OCE can realistically sustain it at all long term. If players can’t consistently get fair games with reasonable queues and decent ping, people can eventually stop logging in altogether.

Agree this is a big oversight. There were previously no issues with OCE servers, but for the past week or two we're being put into Singapore servers roughly 60% of the time. Has there been a reduction of OCE servers?

Dedicated OCE servers should be a priority for all game modes, but for ranked in particular are integral. 120+ ping for Australians and 170+ for New Zealanders is going to see the player base dissolve very quickly and move on to other games. The launch of ranked should be the time to capture an audience, not destroy it.

Agreed, as of 2 weeks ago, OCE players have started being queued into SEA servers. Playing on ~100 ping completely changes the game and leaves OCE players at a huge disadvantage.

It's completely counterintuitive to have a ranked system when a portion of the population has an advantage over others.

To me the simplest solution for low population regions would be to only have ranked for Redsec and not split the lobbies. 

The solution can't be to just push us to 100+ ping which makes the game unplayable for everyone in OCE. I know this is the teething period for ranked but please consider this option moving forward for OCE. 

Would love to see a response from EA on this. 

So the fix is to consolidate servers, Aus has no ranked Servers we are put into Singapore with 120ping and NZ have 170ping...........
