Controller Aim Improvement – Ramp Up Time and Dynamic Acceleration
Hello Battlefield development team,
I would like to suggest two improvements for controller aiming that could make the aiming system feel more responsive and customizable.
Customizable Ramp Up Time
Please consider adding a Ramp Up Time option for controller aiming.
The purpose of this setting would be to control how quickly the aim reaches maximum stick speed after a sudden stick movement.
This should not work like an inertia or momentum system.
The aim should not keep the previous movement speed when the player changes direction.
For example:
A quick movement to the right should gradually reach maximum speed.
If the player immediately moves the stick left, the aim should instantly react and start moving left.
The goal is smoother acceleration while keeping precise and responsive control.
Dynamic Acceleration
Please consider adding a Dynamic Acceleration option.
This should not change the existing aim curve or ADS response curve.
The base aiming curve should remain unchanged.
The acceleration should only activate after reaching maximum stick speed, adding extra speed based on the selected percentage.
Example:
Slow stick movements keep the original aiming behavior for accuracy.
Fast stick movements can receive additional acceleration for faster turns.
This would allow players to keep precise aiming while still having faster reactions during intense fights.
Many players coming from other FPS games are used to this type of system, and adding these options would make controller aiming feel more natural for a wider range of players.
Thank you for continuing to improve Battlefield
