Custom emblem in bf6?

As a long-time fan of the Battlefield series, I wanted to kindly ask if there are any plans to bring back the custom emblem feature similar to what we had in Battlefield 4. That system allowed us to create and display personalized emblems on soldiers, vehicles, and weapons, which added a strong sense of identity, creativity, and community to the game.

For many of us, these emblems had deep personal meaning, such as honoring family members who served, or representing local units and heritage. It was a small feature, but it made a big difference in how connected we felt to the game.

  • While I also liked this feature and enjoyed creating close copies of real-world emblems, I agree with everyone else here.  Not coming back.

However, with dogtags, player skins, weapon skins, player cards, etc.  There are likely thousands of ways to still customize your player.  If Platoons ever make a comeback, they could probably let you earn Platoon cards / emblems / patches / whatever to further customize... just my 2c

    See you on the Battlefield!

Emblems could return, but only if EA/DICE dare to impose a large fine on players who use offensive emblems, whether they be nudity or swastikas.

They don’t really have the mandate to fine a player. And even if they did, it would require a whole department of people just to manage that whole process. Which costs money and doesn’t really generate income…all for a feature they can easily do without.

I often think that players with those badges should be permanently banned from the game and have to buy the game again to play again, with heavy penalties they will think twice before of breaking the rules.

As much as I’d like to see people banned for such a thing, it never really happened in the past as far as I know. The content would just be removed. EA moderation has a very high tolerance for these things.

I suppose EA/DICE has the ability to reject obscene emblems before they're used in-game. I don't think it's that difficult to configure Battlelog so that a swastika can't be there.

Again, this would require human action to process all emblem requests or go through all emblems created. Again this would require a dedicated team to process these things. See my answer in the first point. Potentially could use AI to do this, but again, this costs money for a feature they don’t really care about whatsoever and has little to no benefit to the game.

When I used to mod for the old Battlefield forums and later when I hosted FNB, the emblems with totally unacceptable content were a huge issue. Every single week we got dozens of reports of emblems with nudity, obscenity, racism, etc. As much as I’d like to be able to create individual emblems. Preferably linked to platoons, people just can’t handle this liberty. And with the geopolitical landscape we’re living in today, I can totally imagine things getting even worse.

So in short, you can count on that this won’t make a comeback. No chance whatsoever.

  • I like custom emblems in video games. This forum has custom avatars which I really enjoy!

  • As much as I like the freedom of expression, BF1 taught us there’s a part of the community who can’t handle this freedom.
There was so much obscenity in those emblems that it became impossible to moderate it all.

I’m a grown man and I can handle some sexual explicit stuff and banter, but when I talk about obscenity I mean swastika’s and such.

Unfortunately as often the few baddies have spoiled all the fun for people with good intent.
