DICE, What the Hell Was That XP Bait-and-Switch?
So let me get this straight: Battlefield 6 finally gives us full XP on community playlists for the weekend—something we’ve been begging for since launch—and then yanks it away mid-Sunday like it was some kind of mistake? Are you kidding me?
We were grinding hard. Squad stacked, Portal codes flying, people actually excited to play again. And then boom—XP disabled without warning. No patch notes, no tweet, no heads-up. Just poof, back to the neutered progression system that makes community servers feel like a waste of time.
This is exactly the kind of tone-deaf move that kills momentum. You dangle full XP like a carrot, get the community hyped, then pull it before the weekend’s even over? What was the point? To test engagement? To punish players for actually enjoying the game?
And don’t even get me started on the daily XP cap. We hit it faster than ever thanks to the double XP event, only to find out we’re locked out of progression until reset. So not only did they nerf community playlist XP again, but they also capped our grind mid-session.
DICE, if you're listening:
- Either commit to full XP on community playlists or stop teasing us with it.
- If you're going to run double XP weekends, let us actually benefit from them without hitting arbitrary caps.
- Communicate. A tweet. A blog post. Anything. Don’t just flip switches and expect us not to notice.
We’re not asking for handouts. We’re asking for consistency, transparency, and respect for our time. You want us to play? Then stop sabotaging the one part of the game that actually brings people together.
Rant over, but seriously - Fix this!
