Failing to progress to next map when in a party. Waiting on Party Leader
Hi all,
I’m running into a persistent issue and can’t seem to find a fix anywhere. I’ve seen a few similar reports but no confirmed solutions yet.
Issue Description:
The game itself runs fine during a match, but when the round ends, it doesn’t progress to the next map. The end-of-round screen appears as normal, I see the countdown timer and the message “Waiting on Party Leader”, but once the timer finishes, nothing happens.
It doesn’t crash or hang but just sits there indefinitely. The only way to continue is to back out to the main menu manually and rejoin my friends’ session, which means I miss the first few minutes of every new match.
What I’ve Tried:
Verified game files (no issues found)
Restarted both game and PC
Tried with and without crossplay enabled
Tried as both party leader and party member
Confirmed NAT type is open and connection is stable
None of these make a difference.
Setup:
- Platform: EA App, Windows 11, Ryzen 5800X, 3080Ti, 32GB RAM, NVME2 SSD
- Region: EU/UK
- Party Size: Typically 3 out of 4
Question:
Has anyone else found a workaround for this? Is it a known bug being tracked by DICE/EA? It’s been happening consistently every round for me and makes playing in a squad pretty frustrating.
