Feature Request: Modest M250 Belt-Capacity Buff

The M250’s 100-round belt costs 55 attachment points, consuming over half of the weapon’s 100-point budget and making practical builds unnecessarily restrictive. This likely contributes to the M250 being one of the less popular LMGs.

Please consider either:

  • Adding a 75-round belt option similar to the M240L.
  • Making the default belt 50 rounds and converting the current pouch into a reasonably priced 75-round option.
  • Reducing the cost of the existing 100-round belt.

A more accessible capacity upgrade would reduce the time spent reloading and make the M250 a more competitive option.

  • Agreed. Reducing the 100-round option to 30 points would be optimal and probably the simplest solution to implement. You will still be forced to make a compromise somewhere else on your build.

At 55 points, it is never used anyway—it might as well not be in the game right now, haha.

  • The 240L is a particularly bad offender when it comes to mag size costs.  I will say that almost every weapon in the game has a similar problem though.  The 240L doesn't have terrific stats anyways, with the 100rnd being about the only way to make the gun somewhat enjoyable to use.  You take those 100rnds though, and you'll never hit anything because now you can't afford the attachments you need to make the gun accurate.

They should lower the cost of the 100rnd to 30.  MAYBE 35.  Honestly the 240 is already a worse pick even with 100rnds, but at least there wouldn't be as much suffering for taking it.  I'm all for a 75rnd, 25-20 pts, more options mean more build diversity, which is a good thing.
