Feature Request: Public LFG Chat for Squad Formation
I would like to suggest adding an in-game public chat or LFG (Looking For Group) system in Battlefield 6.
Current issue:
At the moment, it is difficult to find teammates for coordinated squad play, build squads based on preferred game modes, playstyles, or language, and quickly fill missing squad roles such as medic or engineer. Because of this, many players are forced to use external platforms like Discord or Reddit, which is inconvenient and fragments the Battlefield community.
Proposed solution:
Introduce a built-in public LFG chat, accessible from the main menu or squad screen.
Suggested features:
- A public chat channel dedicated to squad finding
- Filters for game mode (Conquest, Breakthrough, Hazard Zone, etc.)
- Platform selection (PC, PlayStation, Xbox)
- Region and language filters
- Playstyle preference (casual or competitive)
- Ability to post short LFG messages like “Looking for squad.”
- One-click squad invites directly from the chat
Benefits:
This feature would improve team coordination and squad-based gameplay, reduce toxicity by allowing players to form squads intentionally, reduce reliance on third-party tools, increase player engagement and retention, and create a stronger sense of community within Battlefield.
