Hi team,
I’d like to suggest a feature that could improve both realism and tactical gameplay in Battlefield 6.
🔧 Feature Idea: Fragile-Surface Bullet Penetration
Introduce a system where bullets can penetrate weak or fragile materials, but with reduced damage after going through the surface.
Materials that should allow penetration:
Thin wood (doors, crates, fences)
Drywall and interior walls
Glass and windows
Thin metal sheets or signage
Furniture such as tables and cabinets
Damage Reduction After Penetration:
~20% damage reduction (up to 35% depending on thickness).
This keeps the mechanic fair while still rewarding tactical play.
Benefits:
Creates more realistic gunfights
Lets players flush out enemies hiding behind weak cover
Makes AP/penetration ammo actually meaningful
Adds more tactical options and dynamic combat encounters
Prevents “invincible thin cover” situations that feel unrealistic
Balance Notes:
Heavy cover should block penetration entirely
Snipers/DMRs penetrate more than SMGs
LMGs get moderate penetration to match their role
Bullet velocity drops slightly to avoid unfair long-distance wallbangs
Why This Matters:
Right now, bullet penetration feels inconsistent or nearly nonexistent on weak surfaces.
A clear, intentional system would make cover usage, ammo choice, and positioning more strategic.
Thanks for reading! Hope this can be considered for future updates or tuning.
I really hope they see and consider this!!!!
