It won't ever get fixed. It was an issue throughout the entire life of 2042. Dice is not capable of fixing it. They will keep saying there's a patch to address it in order to convince some people something changed. Like a placebo effect or something.
Unfortunately Bf2042 had the exact same issues with hit reg / desync. They didn’t care. They don’t care now. Most people seem to be fine therefore it’s not worth them bothering about those of us who have unplayable issues. They have our money.
Switch on the ingame app that shows client side vs server side hit reg. When you have a bad connection to the server you will see only around 60-70% shots register. You will very often run around corners only to die (you were dead before you made it around the corner). Movement in general will feel laggy/unresponsive. It all mounts up to make the game unplayable.
I’m not the best but in two games of team death match I did 16-4 (which is fine for me) The very next game 7-9. Genuinely couldn’t win a 1v1 as I was clearly a second behind everyone in the server.
Using the SVK, my used weapon with 6k kills, I can definitely tell when the server is just acting up. I'll put three bullets in the same exact spot, only one will register. Like I'll see someone prone, the first shot doesn't count, second registers, and then third in the same freaking spot, nothing.
The hit reg was absolute garbage during the beta. I don't get how people where like "this is great!". It felt the same as 2042, which wasn't good enough for a triple A title. It's not acceptable for a shooter.
I'll have rounds where I'll go 50-3, then the next I'll struggle to go 20-10. Every gunfight feels like a 50/50 when it shouldn't be. If I'm camping the top of the stairs, and some dude is full sprinting up them, I should win that 99% of the time.
