I Can't Do It Anymore

Sad to say, I can't tolerate this game anymore. The state of vehicles in this game is abysmal, and I refuse to put up with it any longer. The fact that one guy with an RPG is more than enough to make life impossible for a tank. The fact that you will be pelted by a dozen RPGs if you dare to try and push an objective with a tank like you are supposed to. The fact that the previous point makes people too scared to leave spawn with their tanks, resulting in lopsided games with no tank support. The fact that helicopters die in one hit to basically everything. The fact that you can be easily sniped out of the air by an RPG or a TOW missile, regardless of how fast, low, or high you fly. The fact that radar still does not work. That fact that AA in this game is incredibly cancerous to deal with. The fact that sitting by the C-Ram, where you cannot be hit, but you can still shoot out of spawn is still incredibly viable. The fact that below radar is inconsistent to a frankly ludicrous degree. The fact that there is no indication of when you are actually below radar. The fact that someone can stand at a vehicle spawn location and ensure that they get it every time, denying anyone else of even getting a chance. Everything related to vehicles in this game is miserable. All of these things have led to me finally uninstalling the game. DICE, if you see this, you have to do something. Please. I want to like this game, but I cannot. And if the words of some nobody like me are not enough to at least get you to look into any of these things, which I am well aware that they aren't, here is a video by Silk, one of your own influencers, going over the state of vehicles in the game.

  • I do have to agree with the above poster. I primarily play as Engineer or a Recon and it is almost untenable to try to take a tank out of HQ and head for an objective. No tank on an objective will survive for long in the barrage of RPGs shoulder-fired or lock-on missiles.

I continue to play the game and I like it but the truth is everyone, and I do mean everyone, that I have seen take a vehicle of any kind onto an objective will lose that vehicle very,  very quickly.

For example, and anti-armor engineer will carry five RPGs, and there is usually more than one anti-armor engineer on the scene. They can fire them about as quickly as every three seconds. The only choice is that the tank driver can run or be destroyed.

Personally, I survive by thinking of my tank as an armor-clad sniper with immense ranged attack power. And therefore, I do not attempt to enter an objective even though I would like to support my troops.

If I do enter an objective, the first thing that will happen is not that the enemy will shoot your friendly supporting troops, but they will instead first destroy your tank. So, holding an objective with the tank is a terrible idea.

In addition, one Recon guy with C4 is enough to destroy a tank. That seems like a pretty bad idea when you're on the receiving end of the C4.

  • I agree with this. Everything mentioned by the above 2 posters is very accurate. I even more strongly agree with the helicopters being paper weights. You can't fly for 2 seconds without 5 lock one and 5 tow missiles coming straight for you, it's truly unplayable. Flying low is extremely inconsistent and doing so means you'll get towed by all the tanks in the game. There is nowhere to go as a helicopter stay behind cover indefinitely can't even peak radar missile and tow missiles are bending around covers. Something needs to be done.
