720 RPM is a real dividing line. Weapons above 720 RPM got way more benefits in this update, while low fire rate guns are definitely at a disadvantage now. I hope they can buff the slower ones—honestly, sometimes I just wanna switch things up, but you can't even do that.
By the way, don't you think they went a bit overboard with the bullet spread on the tank and IFV machine guns?
100% agree I've felt like this since day 1 you have weapons at 35 damage mid to long range and you get done by a 26 damage weapon instantly that says it's for close range. Weapons have always felt a bit off new update has definitely made them feel worse it feels like you use the same weapons all the time since launch. The ak4d for example high damage battle rifle and it never feels like it puts people down especially in 1v1 situations.
The low ROF weapons are always trickier: you can’t afford to miss a shot, as the next one will be slow in coming. Normally this is balanced through less recoil, but then the recoil is quite manageable on the majority of guns in BF6, so you’re not getting as much of an advantage here.
But that means that technically, with a patch aiming at making precision the key, low ROF weapons should actually have an edge. I haven’t played with anything low ROF this week, I’ll have to try.
Agree, guns like AK4D and NVO 223 definitely get a nerf due to the increasing spread. I wish they can tune down the spread a liitle so as the machine guns on tank and IFV.
