The drop had more to do with the how long the sightlines were. In BF6 there are not many shots beyond 300m, but I killed snipers in BF3 at 500-1000m all the time. I think the there is only slightly less drop in BF6 than there was in BF3, it is just that the shots are much closer range.
I vividly remember the longest headshot I have ever gotten in a BF game using the 98B in BF3. 2153m and I had to hold so high over the target that they were just below the bottom of the scope. It took like 4 seconds for the bullet to get there. The bottom of the 10x scope in BF6 is somewhere around 17-1800m using the M2010+ex barrel+LR bullets and 90 FOV, which is similar to the 98B
Interestingly, BF3 was the only BF title with a fully functional mRAD reticle. The elevation marks in all other BF title are meaningless.

As EA forces DICE to move closer to a COD style of shooters, its all about tacti-cool and not so much about accuracy. The skill gap has got to be reduced and easy to obtain.
