Precision Rifle
Hello, Battlefield team,
First of all, I'd like to thank you for the work you've been putting into the game. It's clear that a lot of effort has gone into improving the overall experience, especially with the recent changes to gunplay and netcode.
However, as someone who primarily plays with sniper rifles, I'd like to share some feedback that I believe is important.
At the moment, playing as a sniper doesn't feel as rewarding as it should. I understand the intention behind increasing the skill required for precision and balancing the weapons, but I believe these changes have taken away part of the sniper class's identity.
Sniper rifles already come with significant built-in disadvantages: they require excellent aim, good positioning, patience, slow follow-up shots, and if the first shot doesn't eliminate the target, the player is usually at a major disadvantage against automatic weapons. Because of this, when a well-placed shot lands on the chest or upper torso, the reward should be proportional to the difficulty of that playstyle.
Right now, many well-placed shots fail to secure a kill, which creates the feeling that sniper rifles have lost much of their impact. It also moves away from what many players naturally expect from this type of weapon. I don't believe Battlefield needs to be a military simulator, but I do believe sniper rifles should behave in a way that reflects their high stopping power while still maintaining overall game balance.
My suggestion would be to find a middle ground by slightly increasing the Sweet Spot window or revisiting which areas of the torso qualify for a one-shot kill. This would allow snipers to remain highly skill-based while also providing a fair reward for players who master the class.
I believe sniper rifles should continue to be high-risk, high-reward weapons. They require far more precision and strategic thinking than most other weapon categories, and for that very reason, they should provide a greater sense of satisfaction and reward when used effectively.
Thank you for listening to the community and for continuing to improve Battlefield.
