Proposal for the Return of a Clan System in Battlefield 6
Hello to the entire DICE and EA team,
I am writing on behalf of many passionate Battlefield fans to propose the return of a modern and fully featured clan (or platoon) system in Battlefield 6.
Previous installments (notably Battlefield 3, 4, and 1) introduced platoons that allowed players to create, join, and proudly represent their teams. This feature played a central role in the community life of the game by offering:
- A strong team identity through visible tags, emblems, and profiles.
- An organized structure with hierarchical roles, shared statistics, and internal management tools.
- Easier group play and coordination on the same servers or squads.
- A natural competitive dynamic between clans through rankings and collective motivation.
Today, as Battlefield 6 emphasizes cooperation, strategy, and personalization, the absence of a consistent clan system is being felt. Many players want to bring their communities together, build strong identities, and organize internal or competitive events — all of which would help extend the game’s lifespan.
We therefore propose the implementation of a modernized clan/platoon system featuring:
- A dedicated interface to create and manage a clan (in-game or via the companion app).
- Hierarchical roles: leader, officers, members.
- A visible emblem and tag in the game (on uniforms, vehicles, and scoreboards).
- Detailed clan statistics (wins, ratios, levels, collective achievements).
- The ability to organize clan matches (private or competitive).
- Integration into matchmaking to group members in the same squad.
- Regular clan rewards or challenges (weekly or seasonal).
Such a system would strengthen player engagement, encourage teamwork, and build long-term community loyalty within Battlefield.
Thank you for your time and your ongoing commitment to the series. We sincerely hope that the return of clans will be considered for future updates of Battlefield 6.
Respectfully,
xlkee
